Our Story
Friends of Falls Park began in 2018 with the idea of gathering people together who shared a love for the park. Even though it began strictly as a way to coordinate volunteers, by 2019 it became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Within the first few years, the group began managing the Pendleton Farmers Market and the Fall Creek Heritage Fair as a way of raising money for Park projects and providing community events . To this day, it is still run completely by volunteers.
Our Purpose
Whether it’s protecting the scenic beauty of the falls, maintaining the integrity of our historic structures, or creating new opportunities for recreation, we are committed to ensuring Falls Park remains the vibrant center of community life in Pendleton, Indiana.

Preservation
We have our own projects such as clean-up days but we also support other community projects such as a barn and log cabin restoration that help preserve our park and town’s history.

Improvement
From funding new amenities like pickleball courts to organizing community events, we work to add something “extra” not only to the park grounds but to the experiences that people have when they visit our park.

Promotion
We are the proud hosts of many community events that help promote our park and its beauty. We host the annual Pendleton Fall Creek Heritage Fair, Pendleton Indiana Farmers Market, Hometown Christmas, park clean ups, free family swim nights at Brown Memorial Pool, and much more.
